Dance raises funds for Brayden

A teen dance on the weekend helped raise some more funds for Brayden Fields, while an assortment of other fundraisers are in the works for the injured Wallaceburg teen.

The Moose Lodge was hopping on Friday night for a “bright and tight” teen dance.

Organizer Chris Glassford said approximately $1,370 was raised at the event.

“Thank you to all that came out, the UV lighting, and UV Lasers were a huge hit,” Glassford wrote on Facebook.

Brayden, 17, suffered injuries in a car crash on November 21 and has been in a London hospital since.

A video montage was put together and shown at the dance:

During the week leading up to the dance, Glassford told the Sydenham Current the “bright and tight” theme coincides with Brayden’s personality.

“Every time we’ve had family events, Brayden is always the one to bring the party and he’s always the one to have a smile on his face, he’s always there to have a good time,” he said. “I thought it would be great to have that colourful, cheery theme.”

The fundraisers are not stopping in support of the Wallaceburg District Secondary School student.
