Nunchucks and pot seized during Chatham bust

Yesterday, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section, with the assistance of the Critical Incident Response Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in Chatham.

Approximately $7,000 worth of marihuana and cannabis resin was located and seized for analysis.

A butterfly knife, switch blade, set of nunchucks and quantity of cash were also seized.

A 32-year-old Chatham man has been charged with:

– Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking x2

– Drug Possession

– Failing to Comply x6

– Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon x3

– Failing to Comply with Prohibition Order x18

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
