On March 6, 2016 around 11:40 p.m. police responded to an alarm at Richmond Pharmacy in Chatham. Through investigation, officers learned that the suspect had damaged the front door to gain entry and stolen a quantity of medication.
K9 Arry was called to the scene and four pill bottles were recovered in the area.
This morning around 2:30 a.m. police responded to a break and enter at Richmond Pharmacy.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the front door was shattered and an unknown quantity of prescription medication was stolen.
Damage was estimated at $400.
On surveillance video, the male suspect was wearing a blue hoodie, light coloured jeans, gloves and black and white running shoes.
This morning around 7:15 a.m. police responded to another alarm at Richmond Pharmacy.
Although entry was not gained, the new door had an impact mark to substantiate that an attempt break and enter had occurred.
Within minutes, officers located the man in the area wearing the same clothing as seen earlier on surveillance video and he was arrested.
A query of the man further revealed that he was also currently bound by a Probation Order with numerous conditions.
The 36-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with three (3) counts of break and enter and three (3) counts of breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
