The Chatham-Kent OPP have charged a London man after clocking him allegedly driving 190 km/hr on the 401.
Police officials say on March 26, 2016, a Chatham-Kent OPP officer was conducting RADAR enforcement on Highway 401 near Scane Side Road.
Just before 10:00 p.m., the officer observed an eastbound BMW SUV that appeared to be exceeding the posted speed limit of 100 km/hr.
The RADAR registered a speed of approximately 183 km/hr, and increased to approximately 190 km/hr at times.
The 39-year-old male driver from London has been charged with racing.
The driver’s licence has been suspended and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days, as per statute.
