The Wallaceburg Off-Leash Dog Park has been reopened, after being closed for a couple of weeks due to the threat of flooding.
“We’re open! Yay! Just in time for the beautiful weekend,” the dog park committee posted on social media.
The closure went into effect during the last week of March.
During that time, a flood watch had been put in place by the St. CLair Region Conservation Authority.
Large pools of water were scattered throughout the park.
The smaller section of the park has been open since last week, but it now fully open.
“Happy Tails” spans 2.5 acres and features gated entrances for small and large dog off-leash areas.
It has been open since 2011.
