Three sent to hospital after crash near Dresden

Three people have been sent to hospital and the Lambton OPP are investigating after a crash just outside of Dresden.

OPP officials say on Monday, April 25, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information of a two vehicle, motor vehicle collision, at the intersection of Marthaville Road and Lambton Line, Dawn-Euphemia Township, Lambton County.

Lambton OPP along with Dawn-Euphemia Township Fire Department and Lambton Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to scene and upon arrival observed two vehicles with significant damage at the intersection of Marthaville Road and Lambton Line.

Police say a commercial van was stopped within the intersection while a sedan was observed off of the roadway and into the west ditch.

Dawn-Euphemia Township Fire Department had to extricate two occupants from the sedan before being transported to hospital by EMS with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the van was also transported to hospital by EMS with non-life threatening injuries.

Air Ornge was requested as a precaution but was not required.

Traffic flow at the intersection of Marthaville Road and Lambton Line was restricted for over two hours to allow for the investigation and removal of the vehicles.

Investigation is on-going and charges are pending.
