Pot seized in Blenheim

A quantity of pot was seized by the Chatham-Kent police in Blenheim.

Police say on May 5, police attended an apartment on Talbot Street East in regards to an odour of marihuana emanating from the residence.

With consent of the homeowner, police entered the home. The smell of marihuana was overwhelming and the homeowner was cooperative with police. The marihuana plants and related equipment were seized by the officers for destruction. No charges will be laid against the homeowner.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service reminds everyone that if you suspect a residence may be the home of an indoor grow-operation, please call police or Crime Stoppers.
