A Dover Township man has died following a crash on Creek Line.
Chatham-Kent police say last night, shortly after 11 p.m. emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Creek Line between Bearline Road and Winterline Road.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the man, and lone occupant in the vehicle, was traveling westbound on Creek Line at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck a tree.
The man was pulled from his vehicle by emergency crews as the engine caught fire.
The 47-year-old Dover Township man was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where life saving measures were unsuccessful.
The Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Unit is investigating the collision.
