Chatham-Kent volunteers have been nominated for the 29th Annual Senior Achievement Award.
The purpose of this award is to recognize and honour outstanding seniors.
To qualify, the nominee must be a resident of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, be 60 years of age or older, and have achieved significant and made an outstanding contribution to the citizens of Chatham-Kent during their retirement years, without any purpose of personal gain.
Nominations have been entered from the community and an impartial selection committee, endorsed by Chatham-Kent Mayor Randy Hope, will select the name of the top nominee submitted.
Presentation of the awards will take place at a special ceremony commencing at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 17 by Mayor Hope, during the Chatham-Kent Senior Expo at the Blenheim Recreation Centre (Arena).
