Community Living Wallaceburg is proud to announce that $20,000 was raised during the agency’s 21st Annual Golf Classic on May 27th.

Over 100 golfers participated in this year’s event, which took place at Maple City Country Club in Chatham.

This was the second year the tournament was held at this new location.

“The support of the community is what really drives the success of this key event,” said Candice Jeffrey, Coordinator of Communications and Fund Development. “We had golfers contacting us in January ready to sign-up their foursomes and Sponsors knocking on our door in the Spring ready to contribute to this great cause.”

Over 50 local businesses and organizations sponsored the tournament, Community Living Wallaceburg’s most beneficial fundraiser. A key group of 40 volunteers also contributed to the success of the event.

Proceeds from the event will enhance the services and supports provided to more than 400 people with intellectual disabilities and their families across Chatham-Kent.
