A driver received minor injuries after a commercial vehicle rolled over on the 402 early Monday.

OPP officials say on Monday June 20, at approximately 3 a.m., the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single commercial motor vehicle collision at 402 Highway, westbound, just east of Mandaumin Road, Town of Plympton-Wyoming.

Lambton OPP along with Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department and Lambton Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to the location and upon arrival observed a commercial motor vehicle, on its side, in the north ditch of 402 Highway westbound.

The driver and lone occupant of the commercial motor vehicle was located at the scene and sustained only minor injuries as a result of the collision but was transported to hospital by EMS as a precaution only.

402 Highway westbound, in the area of the collision, was reduced to one lane for several hours to allow for the recovery and removal of the commercial motor vehicle.

Investigation determined that the CMV was initially traveling westbound on 402 Highway when it ran off of the roadway and rolled into its side.

As a result a 33 year old Brampton man was issued a Provincial Offences Notice and charged with Careless Driving.

The Ontario Provincial Police are asking the public to please use caution and slow down when traveling along this area of 402 Highway.
