Life-threatening injuries after ATV crash

An ATV driver suffered life threatening injuries after a crash in Dawn-Euphemia.

On Wednesday June 22nd, 2016 at approximately 8:30 p.m., a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), while on routine patrol, observed what was believed to be a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Bilton Line, Dawn-Euphemia Township.

The Lambton OPP member conducted a patrol eastbound on Bilton Line and discovered an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) rolled over into the south ditch and the operator of the ATV lying on the roadway.

Dawn-Euphemia Township Fire Department and Lambton Emergency Medical Service (EMS) were requested and attended the scene.

The operator of the ATV sustained serious life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to hospital by EMS.

The Ontario Provincial Police Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) was requested and is on scene.

Bilton Road between Annett Road and Kerry Road is presently closed and will remain closed for an undetermined period of time while investigators attempt to determine the causation of the collision.
