Due to the potential disruption in postal service, Ontario Works cheques can be picked up starting June 29.
Chatham-Kent officials say Canada Post has advised the mail may not be delivered due to a legal work disruption as early as July 2, 2016.
Due to the potential mail disruption, Employment & Social Services Division’s contingency plan will allow Ontario Works clients to pick up their cheques at the Employment & Social Services offices.
Clients can pick up their Ontario Works cheques and direct bank deposit statements on the following dates and locations:
If you live in Dresden, Tupperville and Wallaceburg:
June 29& 9:00am – 4:00pm
June 30: Wallaceburg Municipal Centre
