Patrick Johnston of Wallaceburg

patMr. Patrick Johnston, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, “Sydenham Campus”, Wallaceburg, at the age of 88 years.

He was born in Sombra Township and was a son of the late James and Bessie (Cooper) Johnston. Beloved husband of Alta (Dalton) Johnston. Dear step-father of Chris (April) Sharpe, Greg (Shelley) Sharpe and Luisa Sharpe. Predeceased by a step-son Tim Sharpe. Step-grandfather of Jason (Lisa), Jeremy (Stephanie), Jilisa (Bert), Sylvia (Trevor), Kristina (Chad), Kalynn (Kerry), Melissa (Kris) and Lauren (Ray) and sadly missed by 11 step-great grandchildren.

Special Uncle of Mike (Jackie) Johnston, Garry (Charlene) Johnston, Peggy (the late Armand) Benoit, Rose (the late Billy) Ellahi, The late, David Johnston, the late Joe O‘Leary and the late Lonnie O‘Leary. Kind brother-in-law of Bill (Jane) Dalton. Predeceased by his brothers James (the late Theresa), John, Harold, his sisters Bessie Moran, Mary Ann Cooper and brothers-in-law Tom (the late Madlyn) Dalton, Leo (the late Peggy) Dalton and Dr. Eric Dalton.

The late Pat Johnston is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 1-3pm from Our Lady Of Help Church with the Funeral Mass being celebrated following at 3pm.

A private family Interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the St. Vincent de Paul or the Canadian Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.ericfnichollsfuneralhome.com.

As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Patrick Johnston.
