Playing the numbers game

Numbers play in my head all the time. Is it the same for you?

Some numbers just ‘tweak’ my brain, and I wonder if it’s the same for you.

If you’re watching a clock, watching your microwave wind down, or just looking at the odometer in your car… does it tweak something?

It does with me.

9/11 is the best example lately – always gets a response in my head… and, it seems that many of the numbers that ‘tweak’ come from my past.

Some examples:

536 – the number on the house I grew up in.

318 – the engine size of My Dad’s old Plymouth Satellite.

99 – Wayne Gretzky’s jersey number.

13 – ‘unlucky’ and then, we saw the European hockey players wear #13 with apparent impunity 🙂

21 – Blackjack!

262 – the ME 262, the first fighter jet, German in WWII

7 – “lucky 7”

666 – of course

242 – the Canadian Fighter squadron commanded by the famous Douglas Bader in the Battle of Britain, 1940

109 – BF 109, the WWII German single seat fighter

6/6/44 – D-Day invasion

289 – the old engine size

Many more, of course – but, are you one of those people who carefully watch the odometer at ‘important’ times?

As in ‘Wow, it just hit 222,222.2!’

I’ve never taken numerology seriously, but I know people who do.

I wonder what numbers ‘tweak’ them? 🙂
