HARRIS: Whittney Sr. age 89 of Dresden, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016 at Chatham Kent Hospice. He was born in Raleigh Twp., son of the late Charles and Florence (Morris) Harris.
He is survived by his loving wife: Joyce (VanDyke) Harris, daughter Lisa Harris of Chatham, sons Whittney Harris Jr. of Dresden, Kevin Harris (Janice) of Nanaimo BC, 3 grandchildren: Nathan (Jemmie), Leon, Barbara Opong (Steven),Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Mae Highgate (George), Irene Simmons (Charles), Verna Harris and Vera Harris, Brother Tom Harris (Corrine).
Visitors will be received at Thomas L. DeBurger Funeral Home, 620 Cross St., Dresden, on Friday, July 8 11a.m. -1p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the Funeral Home on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 1p.m. with Maartin DePooter officiating.
Interment in Dresden Cemetery. If desired memorial contributions may be made to Chatham Kent Hospice Foundation or Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Canada may be left by cheque at the funeral home.
