The Chatham-Kent Police Service arrested a man in Wallaceburg stemming from a domestic incident.
Police officials say on July 12th at approximately 12:15 a.m. a member of the Chatham-Kent Police was on patrol in Wallaceburg when she discovered a couple (male/female) arguing.
While speaking with the couple and investigating the extent of their argument, the man became belligerent with the officer, police officials said.
“More members of the Chatham-Kent Police attended and the man was given several chances to co-operate with police while the domestic incident was investigated; he chose to be aggressive and belligerent instead,” police officials stated.
As a result the man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place pursuant to the Ontario Liquor License Act and held at Chatham-Kent police headquarters until sober.
