The 141st running of the Dresden Exhibition will be held this upcoming weekend, July 22-24.
The Dresden Agricultural Society has been working for months on the preparations.
“It has been a long process,” said Alicia Van Esse, a member of the fair committee.
The annual parade will kick start the festivities on Friday, July 22.
“We marshal at 5 p.m. and the parade starts at 6 p.m. at the Rotary Park (near Foodland.) There is no cost to enter the parade,” she said.
“When you show up, someone will come to you and let you know where your spot is in line so that there is some type of order. You would line up along the road and then the parade will start from there.”
She said the parade route goes up St. George Street and onto the Dresden Raceway.
Alicia said the Agricultural Society is always looking for more people to join their group.
“They can contact one of the directors or they can come in, the office is open Wednesday mornings and they can go in and inquire at the office (519-683-1116) or call Lucille Laprise herself.”
