A Watford woman was killed after a two-vehicle crash in Wyoming on Saturday.
Police officials say on July 16, 2016 at approximately 10:45 a.m. members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the intersection of London Line and Forest Road, Plympton- Wyoming to investigate a two vehicle collision.
Investigation revealed that a 24-year-old male from Harrow, Ontario was operating a Dodge Dakota pick-up truck north bound on Forest Road approaching a stop sign at London Line.
The pick-up truck failed to stop and continued into the intersection striking a Lincoln Town Car that was travelling west bound on London Line and being operated by a lone 67-year-old female from Watford, Ontario.
The operator of the Lincoln Town Car was pronounced as deceased at the collision scene.
The operator of the pick-up truck suffered significant injury but was considered as medically stable.
The two passengers of the pick-up truck, a 24-year-old female and a nine-month-old child suffered minor injuries.
All of the pick-up truck’s passengers were transported to the hospital.
The OPP Technical Traffic Investigation Unit, Regional Coroner’s Office, and the Plympton- Wyoming Fire Department are assisting with the investigation.
It is expected that the intersection of London Line and Forest Road will be closed until approximately 6:00 p.m.
The name of the deceased will not be released pending appropriate next-of-kin notification.
The OPP are seeking additional witnesses in relation to this incident.
