The Wallaceburg and District Museum will be a busy spot during WAMBO on Saturday.

Michelle Bissonnette, the curator at the Museum, said the Museum is excited to offer some of the same, mixed with some new activities this year.

“We have got face painting, which is always pretty popular with the kids,” she said. “We have also got something that was new last year is our photo booth where people can come and take pictures in either Victorian style costumes or there are some wacky stuff that they can put on like funny hats, wigs and stuff like that.”

Bissonnette said there is a cost for the photo both specifically: $2 for an individual, $4 for a family, up to 5 people and $1/person, groups of over 5.

She said face painting is $2 for simple designs or they will have more complex ones they can chose for $3 each.

Bissonnette said all of the activiities are outside, while inside the Museum itself is open for anyone to walk through for free admission all day.

“There will be a guided tour for anyone who is interested at 10 a.m.,” she said.

Outside this year they will once again have the dunk tank.

“It’s a lot of fun,” she said. “That is $2 for 3 chances to dunk the person in the tank. One of our ‘dunkees’ this year is going to be Gemma Peters from the radio station.”

Bissonnette said they will have a big full size version of the game Plinko for people to play, and you can also win prizes with that.

“We have a barbecue with hot dogs, hamburgers, pop and water is available as well. The kettle corn man, he is going to be there. There will also be a petting zoo. We have also got the Baldoon Witch… Dawne Mudford portrays the Baldoon Witch. She is going to be on site. She will be greeting the families and you can take pictures with her with her goat and hear the story.”

Bissonnette added: “Of course we will have items for sale from our gift shop. We have always got stuff up there. Special deals on items. It’s a pretty busy spot. Lots going on.”
