Mr. Joseph Burroughs, after battling cancer with optimism and a courageous heart, has taken his final voyage at the age of 60 years.
He was the loving husband and best friend for 36 years of Cheryl Burroughs and the much loved father to the light of his life and only child, Holly Burroughs (Terry). He was a proud Papa to Havana and Brooklyn. Kind brother of Belinda (Fred) Druer, John Burroughs (Bonnie), April Robins (Harold) and Shane Andrews. Son-in-law of Charlie and Carol Clarke. Brother-in-law of Cammie (Gus) Dumais and Craig Clarke. Predeceased by his parents and a brother, Patrick Burroughs. He was a special friend of Ken and Marj Workman and Roger and Judith Braet.
In accordance with Joe’s wishes, there will be no visitation and a Celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
If desired, donations may be made to the Oncology Department at Bluewater Health or the St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia.
As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Joseph Burroughs.
