A Quebec man is facing charges after the transport he was driving rolled into a ditch on the 401.
On September 2, 2016, around 6:00 a.m. Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 401 near Drake Road.
Investigation indicated that an eastbound tractor trailer had rolled onto its side and came to rest in the ditch, partially blocking the eastbound passing lane.
Emergency crews attended and Highway 401 eastbound is temporarily closed in order to accommodate emergency and the Ministry of Environment cleanup crews.
The two male occupants of the transport truck were transported to a local hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The 32-year-old male driver of Quebec has been charged with Careless driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
Highway 401 eastbound will be closed for several hours today to allow for the safe removal of the vehicle.
