The Dresden Kings kicked off their pre-season this past weekend, with a pair of games against the Blenheim Blades.
Dresden lost both contests, 6-1 on Friday and 4-3 on Sunday.
Their final pre-season game on the year will be on Friday night, when they host the Mooretown Flags.
Puck drops at 7 p.m. at Dresden Arena.
The Kings start the regular season on Wednesday, September 21, when they travel to Wallaceburg to battle the Lakers.
The season opener starts at 7:30 p.m.
Dresden’s home opener is a couple days later, when they host Lakeshore at 7:30 p.m.
Here are a few more tidbits from the team:
– The Kings announced that Dillon Liberty, Kevin Ritzer, Will Tetzlaff, Steven Funk, Logan Purbrick, Dayne Davis, Alex Hall, Derek Shaw, Macks Holmes, are all returning to the club.
– The Kings announced they acquired Kadin Ritchie from the Wallaceburg Lakers for cash considerations. Ritchie is from Dresden and played last season as a 16 year old with the Lakers.
– Dresden welcomed new signees Tyler Hotham, Kyle Hachey, Ryan Malott and Eric Carter to the Kings Family.
