The Wallaceburg Fireworks committee is gearing up for their first fundraiser leading up to next year’s 150th birthday for Canada.

The group is holding a “Back to School Glow Dance” for students in Grades 5 to Grade 8 at the CBD Club on Friday, Sept 23.

“Bring the kids out to this fun filled evening,” said Tom Cogghe, one of the event organizers.

“We will be offering snacks to purchase and water to drink for a minimal cost. Once inside all children are not permitted to leave the event. This will be a zero tolerance atmosphere.”

Cogghe said this event will be very well supervised by the Wallaceburg Fireworks Committee.

Tickets are $10 per child in advance, and it includes a glow bracelet.

Tickets are available at the Homeward Realty office or by contacting the Wallaceburg Fireworks committee.

If parents would like to volunteer, they can contact the committee here.
