Update at 8:44 a.m.: The Chatham-Kent Police Service have released some limited details about the morning blaze in Wallaceburg.
Police officials say just before 4 a.m. this morning, emergency crews responded to a residential fire on Nelson Street.
One person was found deceased in the apartment.
More information will be released as it becomes available.
Nelson Street between James Street and Wellington Street remains closed.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Original story: Emergency crews are at the scene of a fire on Nelson Street in Wallaceburg.
Details are scarce at the moment, but sources say the blaze claimed the life of one individual.
The fire took place in the building between the Power Attic and the Clock Tower Dental building.
Firefighters at the scene said they were called at 3:44 a.m.
Traffic is being blocked at various locations, including at the base of the Dundas Bridge at Wellington, Nelson and Wellington, and Nelson and James Street.
