Police seeking tips after Wallaceburg park trashing

The trashing of a Wallaceburg park on the weekend is the Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week.

Crime Stoppers officials say between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 24 a group of 7-9, 12-year-old males caused significant damage to Bill McDougall Park in Wallaceburg.

“The suspects broke benches, knocked over signs, garbage cans and broke branches off of trees,” Crime Stoppers officials stated.

Crime Stoppers is seeking anonymous phone calls that can identify one or all of the suspects.

“Mischief like this costs every one through the tax dollars used to repair the park,” Crime Stoppers officials stated.

  1. Seems funny the police are looking for suspects when someone called this in they couldnt be bothered to come to the park!!! They could have stopped it a girl called the police twice!!!
