A Wallaceburg girl has donated her “princess hair” to charity.
Miranna Richardson, 4, met Ashley Oughtred at Intrigue Hair Lounge in downtown Wallaceburg for a hair cut on Thursday evening.
Miranna’s mom Lisa told the Sydenham Current her daughter was thrilled to donate her hair to a good cause.
“She asked to get her hair cut a few months back, so I talked to her about waiting until October to support breast cancer month to donate or give another child that isn’t as fortunate to have her ‘princess hair.'” Lisa said.
“She agreed and patiently waited until October.”
The evening went extremely well, Lisa said,
“It went awesome, she was happy to give her hair away,” she said.
“Plus, Ashley is super fantastic and made the experience pleasurable. Ryan (Miranna’s dad) and I also had our moms come to support, which made it exciting for Miranna. She hasn’t stopped saying, ‘I love my new hair’.”
Miranna’s hair is being sent to 360 Hair in British Columbia, who make wigs for kids 19 and under.
