Employers being recognized for workforce wellness

Chatham-Kent employers looking for ways to develop strong links between health, safety, wellness initiatives and core human resources goals are invited to a FREE half-day workshop featuring Dr. John Button who shared the importance of workplace wellness in his practice, a presentation on the importance of a living wage on health and the lived experiences of the workplaces that are being recognized.

The FREE half-day workshop, Wednesday October 19, 2016, at Studio 1 in the Chatham- Kent Cultural Centre will emphasize the strategic advantage of workplace wellness in relation to:

– Integrating wellness into all aspects of the workplace environment

– How workplace wellness can give you the competitive edge

At this workshop Chatham-Kent employers Accurcast Inc., Anchor Danly, Barry Callebaut, Dresden Industrial Ridgetown, Lower Thames Valley Conservation and Wallaceburg Central Ambulance Communication Centre will be recognized for their efforts in workplace wellness. You will hear of their challenges and triumphs in implementing and maintaining their programs.

Throughout the day there will be opportunities for networking with other workplaces, the presenters and public health staff regarding community programs.
