A long-time restoration project by Wallaceburg’s Bill Namink came to a head on Thursday, after a pair of locomotives were loaded up and shipped to Winnipeg.
After purchasing two locomotives at an auction in 2012, Namink spent the next several years restoring the machines and bringing them back to life.
Finally, Namink found a purchaser for the locomotives – the Winnipeg water department.
On Thursday, the locomotives were loaded up on a large trailer and began a journey out west.
