Dresden’s Mallory Martin was named MVP for the Windsor Lancers women’s fastball team for this past season.

She was also named to the 2016 OIWFA All-Star Team.

The Lambton-Kent Composite School graduate was converted to the position of catcher at the beginning of the season for Windsor and ended up leading the team defensively.

“A first year player to the Lancer’s, Martin quickly established herself as the defensive captain on the field,” says an article on golancers.ca.

“Mallory always gave 110%, never complained, did anything that the team asked, and has a Blue and Gold heart.”
