Samuel Vernon Peters, a resident of Walpole Island First Nation, died peacefully in Sarnia on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the age of 72.
Sam is the son of the late Simon and Ila Mae (Nahdee) Peters. Beloved husband of Ellen Thomas. Loving father of Samantha (Elliott Greenbird), Holly R. Johnson (Randall), Samuel C. Peters Jr. Travis Peters (Joyce Antone), Blossom Peters, Keith Thomas (Angel), Allen Thomas, Ethan Thomas (Claudia Cadreau) and the late Joyce Peters, and grandfather to 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Simon, Mary Jane, James, Ronald and the late Morley and Deana.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the family home, 578 Creek Road on Walpole Island First Nation, on Monday and Tuesday. The funeral will be celebrated at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Wednesday, November 16 at 11 AM.
