Yesterday, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to two motor vehicle collisions involving deer.

Police officials say luckily, no one was injured.

The CKPS would like to remind all motorists to drive with care, especially during dusk to dawn hours when wild animals are most active.

Travel at a safe speed, stay alert, whenever possible use your high beams and scan both sides of the road ahead.

If you see an animal, slow down as there may be more following.

Animal movements are unpredictable, so donā€™t try to drive around the animal, slow down and stay in control of your vehicle.

To reduce your chances of hitting an animal, please see http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/driver/handbook/section2.10.7.shtml
