Union Gas presented the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation with a $20,000 donation.

The donation will help support volunteer network initiatives.

”At Union Gas, we care about the health of the communities where we live and work” said Mary Lynn Lister Santavy, community investment coordinator, Union Gas. “We believe our support of Chatham-Kent Hospice and its volunteer network initiatives will make a real and lasting contribution to supporting Chatham-Kent.”

“Volunteers are vital to the success of our residential hospice. They are central to the compassionate caring support we provide. We currently have 211 volunteers who have given over 6,743 hours of their time since we opened in April. The donation from Union Gas to support and train our volunteers is very much appreciated and will help our many volunteers give a priceless gift to those who are affected by end-of-life challenges,” said Melanie Watson, Volunteer Coordinator, Chatham-Kent Hospice.
