Steel pipe, baseball bat used in Wallaceburg fight

Two Wallaceburg men were arrested after a baseball bat and a steel pipe were used during a fight on Friday.

Police officials say on December 9 members of the Chatham-Kent Police responded to a disturbance in Wallaceburg.

Two men had been drinking when an altercation broke out.

One man armed himself with a steel pipe and the other with a baseball bat.

The man with the steel pipe struck the man with the baseball bat in the head causing a head injury.

The man armed with the baseball bat was arrested at the scene but released unconditionally at Public General Hospital.

The man armed with the steel pipe was arrested and held for a bail hearing.

The severity of the injury was unknown at the time of release.
