A young man from Chatham is facing charges stemming from a domestic incident this week.
Chatham-Kent police officials say earlier this week, an altercation between the man and his ex-girlfriend began at a Chatham home over the ownership of a dog.
The man allegedly held a hunting knife up to the woman’s chest causing her to leave.
Police were not contacted.
The woman was not physically injured.
Last night, the man attended an address in Chatham asking to speak with the woman.
The man was in possession of a pocket knife and standing in an intimidating manner.
Police were called and the man fled the area.
The 18-year-old Chatham man was located and arrested a short time later.
He has been charged with assault with a weapon. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
