A new beach volleyball facility is set to officially open Tuesday, May 19, at 109 Courthouse Lane in Chatham, according to Mayor Darrin Canniff.
Canniff said the new courts are being constructed by Chatham Beach Volleyball and will add to the municipality’s growing recreational offerings.
“Hey CK, here’s another addition to our already great and growing community – an amazing new set of beach volleyball courts being constructed right now at 109 Courthouse Lane in Chatham thanks to Tyler and the folks at Chatham Beach Volleyball,” Canniff said.
The facility will feature five full-size 9-by-18-metre courts and one feature court measuring 8-by-16 metres with a five-metre free zone.
Organizers are planning an open house on May 23 following the official opening earlier in the week.
