Tara Seney of the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent will speak on 16 things I would want, if I get dementia.
Take time to learn what individuals with dementia need from us.
It is not just their disease, it is ours too! For example, those with dementia want family and friends to embrace their reality: If they think a spouse is still alive, or if they think we are visiting my parents for dinner, let them believe those things.
They will be much happier for it.
