The Walpole Island Police Service is investigating a fail-to-remain collision involving a cyclist.
Lambton OPP officials say on Friday January 13 just after 10 p.m., the Walpole Island Police Service was dispatched to a serious injury incident involving a cyclist on Chiefs Road North on the First Nation reserve.
Walpole Island Police Service along with the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a location on Chiefs Road North, just north of Austin Road.
Upon arrival, responders located a 36-year-old male cyclist who had sustained serious injuries as a result of a suspected fail-to-remain motor vehicle collision.
The victim was consequently air lifted to hospital by air ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Investigation is on-going and no suspects or suspect vehicles have been identified.
