Shotgun among the items stolen in Dawn-Euphemia

A shotgun was among the items stolen in Dawn-Euphemia this week.

OPP officials say on Sunday January 22nd, 2017, the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to an address on Bentpath Line, Dawn-Euphemia Township, regarding a break, enter and theft.

At approximately 5:00 p.m., the Lambton County OPP responded to a property located in the 6000 block of Bentpath Line, Dawn-Euphemia Township. Upon arrival, police were informed that at some time between January 17th and January 22nd, unknown persons forced entry into a locked workshop located on the property and stole the following items:

– Bolt action .410 shotgun

– Cast Iron wood stove

– Root Cutters (Approximately 50)

Total value of items stolen has yet to be determined.

The West Region Forensic Identification Unit was requested and did attend to assist with the investigation.

The Lambton OPP is asking that if anyone has any information regarding the persons responsible for this break, enter and theft or the location of the items stolen, to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 882-1011, or their nearest police authority.
