Durston goal up for ‘NLL Versus’ vote, no playoffs for Lakers

Time to vote for Durston’s goal

In case you missed it, Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston scored a highlight reel goal on Saturday when the Vancouver Stealth played the Buffalo Bandits.

The National Lacrosse League has since put Durston’s goal in the running in a special online vote. Watch below and vote as well:

So far on the year, Durston has tallied 4 goals and 7 assists for 11 points in 4 games.

The Stealth are now 2-2 on the year, a half game back of Calgary for first in the NLL West Division.

Wallaceburgā€™s Tye Belanger picked up the loss for Vancouver, allowing 13 goals on 44 shots in 42:43 minutes.

The Stealth visit the Saskachewan Rish on Friday, before hosting the Georgia Swarm on Saturday.

Lakers out of playoff contention

The Wallaceburg Lakers have officially been ousted from playoff contention in the local Junior ‘C’ Hockey loop.

Wallaceburg sits in last place in the Hobbs Division with a 3-33-1 record.

Wallaceburg is seven points behind the Petrolia Flyers for the 8th and final spot, with only three games remaining.

Last week the Lakers got beat by the Essex 73’s 5-0, and hammered by Lakeshore 17-2.

Wallaceburg will host Wheatley tonight in their final home game of the season, before wrapping up the year on Friday in Dresden and Saturday in Mooretown.
