The upcoming Chatham-Kent council meeting scheduled for February 6 has been cancelled.
Chatham-Kent staff says with minimal reports for the meeting and the number of budget meetings going on throughout February, the February 6th Chatham-Kent council meeting has been cancelled.
Any reports, presentations or notices of motions scheduled for that date have been moved to the February 13th meeting of Chatham-Kent Council.
Judy Smith, director of municipal governance, said although it is rare that council meetings are cancelled, it occasionally happens.
Smith said a similar action was taken last year during February’s budget deliberations.
