A Dresden man faces charges after being caught driving with a suspended license.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say yesterday morning, just before 8 a.m. an officer on general patrol observed the man driving on McNaughton Avenue near Galbraith Street in Chatham.

A police check revealed that the registered owner of the vehicle had an expired license.

The officer initiated a traffic stop and through investigation learned that the man was driving his wife’s vehicle even though his license was suspended due to unpaid fines.

The 43-year-old Dresden man was charged with driving while under suspension.

He will be required to attend court on March 22, 2017.
