The Blenheim Blades are moving on to the next round in the Provincial Hockey League playoffs.
The Blades topped the Dresden Kings 5-3 on Wednesday night at Dresden Arena in Game #6 of their opening round series. The win gave Blenheim the 4-2 series victory.
Ryan Malott, Kevin Ritzer and Geoffry VandenBoorn all scored for the Dresden, who at one point early in the second period held a 3-2 lead in the game.
Blenheim would go on to score three unanswered goals the rest of the way.
The Kings out shot the Blades 40-24.
Blenheim will now face the top-seeded Lakesore Canadiens in the Hobbs Division semi-finals.
The Essex 73’s and Amherstburg Admirals will face each other in the other semifinal.
