OPP: Armed robbery in Lambton County

The OPP are investigating after an armed robbery in Lambton County on the weekend.

Police officials say on Saturday February 25th, 2017 Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to a commercial address on Nauvoo Road, Warwick Township, ON. regarding an armed robbery.

At just after 4:30 a.m., the Lambton County OPP responded to a commercial property located in the 5300 block of Nauvoo Road, Warwick Township. Upon arrival, police were informed that four unknown suspects entered the property, one armed with a weapon, and demanded various merchandise.

The four unknown suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

West Region Canine and West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) were dispatched to the scene. A search of the area located a stolen motor vehicle which is believed to be involved in the robbery however no suspects were located.

West Region Forensic Identification Unit was requested and is presently at the scene assisting with the investigation and the Lambton OPP Crime Unit has been engaged.

The investigation is on-going at this time.

Further information will be released as the investigation progresses.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
