CK Reads – Contest is under way

Were you moved by Girl Runner? Tell us your favourite quote from Girl Runner and why you loved it! Youā€™ll be entered for a chance to win one of twelve copies of the book, the first-ever CK Reads book selection. One winner will be chosen from each library branch and from the Chatham-Kent Public Library Facebook page and Twitter account. Be sure to get your copy autographed by the author when CKPL welcomes Carrie Snyder to the Chatham Branch on Saturday, May 13. Contest ballots are available at all branches. Check out their Facebook and Twitter accounts for online entries. The contest runs from March 1 to May 1, 2017.

Home Inspections for Buyers and Sellers

Come and learn the facts about home inspections whether you are buying a new home or planning to sell the one you have. Ken Nolan of Nolan Inspection Services will answer questions and provide valuable information about what an inspector does, how it is done and the value this process can have in your buying or selling decision.

Ken will be at the Chatham Branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library on Thursday, March 23 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. As a bonus he will also talk about home energy audits.

If you have a suggestion, story idea, column idea, or if you want to say helloā€¦ drop me an e-mail at aaron@sydenhamcurrent.ca.
