Two women are in custody after a police pursuit ended in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say on Tuesday, March 14, around 12:34 p.m., an officer southbound on St. Clair Road observed a vehicle travelling northbound at a high rate of speed.

The officer made several attempts to initiate a traffic stop, which the driver ignored.

As the vehicles entered the town of Wallaceburg, the officer continued to follow at a distance.

It was discovered that the vehicle fleeing was stolen from the Windsor area.

Two additional officers attended the area, and the three officers together were successful in stopping the stolen vehicle.

A 26-year-old woman of no fixed address and a 30-year-old Chatham woman were charged with possession of stolen property and flight from police.

  1. These idiots forced innocent motorists “some vehicles carrying young precious lives in them” off the road in their desperate attempt to flee the police.
I hope you are punished to the full extent of the law because you used very poor judgement and put these young peoples lives at risk.
That was my Daughter in one of the vehicles you swerved in front of and there is no law that would protect you had your actions resulted in harm to her.
