Original story: A line of thunderstorms over Southeastern Lower Michigan may move across portions of Southwestern Ontario early this afternoon, forecasters say.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement in Chatham-Kent.

“Some of the thunderstorms may produce wind gusts to 80 km/h, pea to marble sized hail and frequent lightning,” forecasters stated.

“Heavy downpours suddenly reducing visibility to less than 1 km are also possible.”

The thunderstorms are expected to move northeast out of the region by mid afternoon, Environment Canada officials stated.
