Hello spring, c’mon summer

By Glen Turner – Special to the Sydenham Current

It’s official.

I LOVE Spring. 🙂

OK, I do not like the rain… and the mud. And the dull gray snowbanks… yuk.

But – the rejuvenation (flowers, buds, green grass, flowering trees and shrubs) – all add to my joy.

Drive down Margaret Ave. in Wallaceburg, and see the blooming Magnolias, the Forsythias… so awesome.

No more ugly brown grass, bare trees and barren fields.

Personally, I welcomed spring gradually.

I put away a snow shovel, then my winter coats, scarves, snow boots, toques, winter gloves and finally?

My snowblower! Love it.

Yes, I still have one heavy coat out, and one snow shovel, but then on Easter Sunday, I cut my lawn for the first time since fall.

Time to think about flower gardens, flower baskets, veggie garden and most important?

Getting my boat out of storage!!

Yeah, Spring!

C’mon, SUMMER!!! 🙂
