Butcher’s knife brought to Timmie’s

A Chatham man faces charges after allegedly bringing a butcher’s knife to Tim Horton’s.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege on May 6th, around 3 a.m. a 37-year-old Chatham man was acting suspicious at Tim Hortons on Park Ave. E. in Chatham.

Police attended and spoke with the male and escorted him out of the business.

Once outside of the business a large butcher’s knife fell out of the man’s jacket.

The man was subsequently arrested for Weapons Dangerous and carrying a concealed weapon.

The 37-year-old man was found to be on a weapons prohibition for violent offences and was also arrested for one count of Breach of Probation.

He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.
