French Catholic school board’s graduation rates tops in Ontario

According to recent data published by the Ontario government with regard to the graduation rate in secondary schools, the Conseil scolaire catholique Providence stands out for the second consecutive year with a graduation rate of 94.9%… which is tops in the province.

To put the current numbers of the Conseil scolaire catholique Providence in better perspective, the graduation rate after four years in all Ontario schools (French, English, Catholic, and public) is 79.6%.

Well above the provincial average, school board officials say this graduation rate is evidence of the quality of the education provided in the schools of the Conseil scolaire catholique Providence by a devoted teaching staff that has the success of each student at heart.

“Our objective is to work toward the success of a range of students and give them the assistance they require, whatever their situation,” stated Joseph Picard, the Director of Education for the Conseil scolaire catholique Providence.

“These excellent results make it possible to confirm that the variety of initiatives placed at the forefront with regard to academic success is bearing fruit in our schools. This type of achievement emanates from a firm commitment to our strategic planning, effective teamwork, as well as the devotion shown by our team to the success of each student.”

The complete list of the results of each school board is available on the Ontario Ministry of Education’s web site, here.
